| Abstract: I will discuss how localized charged fields, a general feature of many realistic string compactifications, can lead to a multitude of perturbatively-exact global symmetries in four dimensions. If spontaneously broken, they generate a new axiverse compatible with post-inflationary evolutions. I will also discuss the potential phenomenological implications
