In this talk, we will consider in detail two approaches that have been proposed to constrain the abundance of subsolar mass PBHs using gravtiational wave (GW) observations: direct searches for mergers with the LIGO/Virgo/KAGRA detectors, and indirect searches for the stochastic GW background associated with their formation using pulsar timing arrays. We will place particular emphasis on the critical challenge of disentangling these potential signals from those of conventional astrophysical sources. | 8 Oliver Janssen, A prior on initial conditions in inflation from the gravitational path integral?
