Zohar Komargodski, Symmetries, Confinement, and Naturalness in 2d QCD (2:00 PM - 3:00 PM)

-- Abstract: I will explain the notion of non-symmetries. Then we will see how to use them to constrain the dynamics of a two dimensional gauge theory. We will derive deconfinement, compute the string tension exactly when the non-symmetries are softly broken, and discuss quartic operators and naturalness.
